In 2019, Jes chose the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the Chinook Regional Hospital, where proceeds will support the greatest needs. The NICU offers 24/7 advanced expertise and knowledge in resuscitating, stabilizing, transporting and attending to sick and premature infants. The amazing nurses and doctors provide advanced Level II care for sick and premature infants, including:

-Attending all high-risk deliveries and cesarean sections

– Stabilizing critically-ill infants and getting them ready to move to another care centre, when needed

-Helping prepare infants and families to go home

-Teaching parents and connecting them with other services and agencies

-Facilitates the return of infants from tertiary centres to Lethbridge

The NICU at the Chinook Regional Hospital has had an impact on a lot of families in Southern Alberta and we are SO thankful for the love, compassion, and kindness shown by the nursing staff and the doctors.

We raised $6000 in support of the greatest needs of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the Chinook Regional Hospital.
