2020 brought the start of many challenges for our community and beyond. Get the Fundraiser Outside turned into Get the Fundraiser Online in support of SAGE Clan. This is a grassroots organization and community patrol that specializes in helping the homeless and those suffering from addiction. Founded by community member Mark Brave Rock, this group patrols at night and provides lunches, snacks, water, and a person to talk to. Along with raising dollars for Sage Clan to operate in our downtown, it was very important for us at GirlGang to support our local businesses that had to shut their doors temporarily this spring as a result of Covid-19. Fostering community is one of the cornerstones of our work, so this year, instead of asking our amazing business partners to donate as in years past, we purchased gift cards so that the support generated from this initiative is two-fold: supporting our local business owners AND giving funds to a charitable cause.
With your generous support we raised $2,500 in support of SAGE Clan.
