RAK Day

GirlGang Kindness is happy to annually participate in the Community Foundation of Lethbridge and Southwestern Alberta Random Act of Kindness Day.

2021 – Things were kept online again this year, where small acts of kindness were spread throughout the community. Because of our participation, we were the recipient of a $500 Kindness Grant, which we donated to The Lethbridge Soup Kitchen.

2020 – While the world was dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, GirlGang Kindness managed to spread a little love and kindness through small acts that built connections in our community.

2019 – This edition saw us delivered candy and kindness cards to downtown patrons; donated mittens, scarves, toques, and socks to those in need; surprised colleagues with coffee and lovenotes; and more!

2018 – We handed out roses from Funky Petals and lovenotes to a range of women in our community: women we passed on the street, female business owners, and friends and supporters of GirlGang. Because of our participation, we were the recipient of a $500 Kindness Grant, which we donated to the MS Society (Lethbridge and District Chapter).

2017 – GirlGang Kindness took to the streets of Lethbridge in support of Community Foundation of Lethbridge and Southwestern Alberta and Volunteer Lethbridge’s Random Act of Kindness Day. We shoveled walks, delivered treats to seniors lodges and charitable organizations, and donated mittens and winter wear to those in need. Because of our participation, we were the recipient of a $500 Kindness Grant, which we donated to Street’s Alive Mission.
